Hard to believe that I actually got this week’s Sunday Sketch – SS043 completed for this Sunday!

I chose the color scheme from this week’s Color Throwdown Challenge – CTD631 and altered the sketch slightly to fit the trendy Slimline card size as suggested by the design team over at The Spot Challenge – #151
Here is what I created:

I chose to stamp the floral bouquet image from the current (February 2021) Paper Pumpkin Kit – Bouquet of Hope onto a piece of Designer Series Paper (retired 12 x 12 Stack in Blushing Bride).
The bouquet was colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. The colors chosen approximated the Turquoise, Pink, Rust and Magenta colors. Turquoise – Just Jade, Pink – Petal Pink, Rust – Dark Calypso, and Magenta – Magenta Madness.
To match the sketch, the stamped colored image was die-cut with the (2⅛” x 3”) Layering Oval Die and framed with a Terracotta Tile cardstock (2⅜” x 3¼”) die-cut Stitched Shapes Die Oval. The ovals are smaller than those suggested by the sketch because I changed the standard A2 card size from (4¼” x 5½”) to Slimline size (3½” x 6”).
The sentiment, Hello, from the stamp set Grace’s Garden was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set embossed with White Embossing Powder onto a Just Jade cardstock Banner (½” x 2½”). I tucked the banner behind the framed oval so as to not cover the bottom of the floral bouquet.
The banner is adorned with a 3D flower. I stamped a portion of the floral bouquet stamp onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored two of the blossoms which I then fussy cut and stacked them together.
To complete the card, I added a Basic White cardstock panel (3” x 5½”) which was dry embossed with one of the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folders for added dimension. All the elements were then assembled onto a Blushing Bride card base.
I like to try and use my Paper Pumpkin kit stamps on alternative projects and I think the Bouquet of Hope works very nicely in an Oval Frame.
If you don’t already subscribe to Stampin’ Up!’s Paper Pumpkin Kits, you should give it some serious thought. Perfect when you just need to create on the fly because everything you need to make the projects (short of your preferred adhesive) will be in the box!
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!
