Hopping on to the blog for a quick card that I made last night. It is a lot of fun when an idea that is rumbling around in your head comes together so nicely.
The color combination from the Color Throwdown team – CTD630 was so dreamy and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches – FMS473 seemed like the ideal layout for what I had in mind.
Short of a little texture and a bit of heat embossing this is a #SimpleStamping card. Stamp, Paper and Ink. I just stepped it up a little. The sketch is perfect for creating a very clean and simple card.

I chose to use Soft Seafoam for the green and selected a scrap piece Pink Pirouette (retired). I liked how the pink was tonally the same as the green.
I did a tone-on-tone panel and mat treatment for the card base and the focal point rectangle. The greeting, Best Wishes, from the Sale-a-bration A Touch of Ink stamp set was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. Both top panels were dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
For the cross panel, as suggested by the sketch, I chose to use a 2” x 4” section of the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate. This gave me my focal element in Gold and the see-through effect of the acetate helps to color the Flowers pink and the Leaves green. The panel was attached with strategically placed mini Glue Dots. The Glue Dots were cut in half and placed behind the Golden Leaves in the four corners.
A pretty little card. I cannot think of one more thing to add. Can you?
Cheers, Jolanda!
