Nature’s Beauty – Birthday Fox

I wanted to keep this card very clean with minimal layers yet be striking.

From the Nature’s Beauty stamp set, I stamped the Fox on to a small piece of Basic White cardstock in the foreground and added the smaller Tree in the background using Early Espresso ink.

I colored the Fox with Terracotta Tile ink.  Added some Soft Suede to the Tree and a bit of Balmy Blue for the Snow.  The color was picked up from the lids of the ink pads with a Blender Pen to achieve the softer watercolor look.

The focal image was then trimmed to shape with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies (1⅜” x 2¾”) and matted with a piece of Balmy Blue card stock (1⅞” x 2”).

Keeping the design clean, the sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Brushed Blooms stamp set was chosen for the straightforward font.  The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink on to a Basic White back panel (4⅛” x 5⅜”).  The panel was then dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a bit of texture.

Everything was then assembled on to a Basic White card base.

This is a great masculine birthday card featuring the Fox from the lovely stamp set, Nature’s Beauty.  The other animals included in Nature’s Beauty are a Deer and a Rabbit. Many multi-seasonal scenes can be created with this stamp set.
