Rooted in Nature – Thanks

This week over at The Paper Craft Crew – PCC412 I was presented with a TIC TAC TOE Challenge.  These are fun to do…

Here is what I created: A quick simple card layout.  I chose the top row:  Masculine, Twine and Thank You.

ROOTED IN NATURE – QUEEN ANNE”S LACE – PCC412

I stamped the leaves from Rooted in Nature in Mossy Meadow onto to a 2½” Very Vanilla cardstock square.  I then added texture with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I matted this image onto a 2¾” Crumb Cake cardstock square.

Linen Thread was wrapped around the bottom of the square block.

I stamped the sentiment, Thanks, from the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set in Versamark on to a ¾” Mossy Meadow scrap of cardstock.  I added White Embossing Powder and heat set the powder with the Heat Tool.  At the end, I opted to snip in flag points.

The Very Vanilla cardstock background panel, 3¾” x 5”, was spritzed with a mixture of Isopropyl Alcohol and Copper Shimmer Paint (now a retired item).  I had created this a while back and it did not suit my original project vision.  I thought it would work really well with this card.

To keep the card light and fresh, I chose Crumb Cake cardstock for the card base.

A good card for a guy, especially when you need to thank him for something sweet!

Cheers,  Jolanda.  Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.
