Can you stand one more for today?
The colors for this month…Real Red, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie have been selected for the SU! Only Color Challenge for February. Hot colors for a cold month!
Over at CAS Colours & Sketches, this week’s sketch has a wave pattern.
Here is what I created:

I stamped the Wild Roses background stamp using Real Red ink with the aid of the Stamparatus. I then colored the Flowers with the Dark Daffodil Delight and the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
The Basic White cardstock was Die-Embossed with the one of the Curvy Dies to capture the Lace pattern. I then fussy cut along the edge to maintain the scalloped edge of the Lace. I stamped the sentiment from Berry Blessings in Pumpkin Pie. The two pieces were fit together to make up the front panel. I chose to add texture with Cross Hatching the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
The seam where the two pieces of card stock met left a linear impression. To mitigate that, I drew a line across the panel with the Dark Daffodil Stampin’ Blend and added a few Champagne Basic Jewels. Problem solved! As I call it – Embellishment Opportunities when you have something unplanned happen.
A Clean and Simple card for a clean and simple sketch.
Again, Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda
