Dragonfly Garden Wishes – Hello

Yesterday, I created a card with the Forever Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper.  It was still on my work table and it was just begging to be used.  I came across the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge – FMS470.  This sketch was the perfect setting for the Laser-Cut backgrounds.

I hope you like this card as much as I do…

I picked the white side of one of the leafy patterns from the wonderful Forever Gold Designer Specialty Paper for the center panel.

I liked how the Just Jade color made the white leaves pop.  Iridescent Dragonflies came to mind for the corner elements.  I stamped the Dragonflies from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set in Pretty Peacock and colored them with various bright Stampin’ Blends.  A generous application of Wink of Stella makes them sparkle so prettily. 

For the sentiment, Hello, from the Garden Wishes stamp set, I traced out a section of the leaves and fussy cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to match.  I added leaf veins with a Smoky Slate Stampin’ Write Marker and added Just Jade coloring with a Blending Brush before I clear color embossed using Pretty Peacock ink.

I added an additional panel of Just Jade that was dry embossed with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a little extra texture.

The Forever Greenery Specialty Designer Series Paper goes so well with the Dandy Garden Suite of products.
