Today I created a card for the Tuesday Stamping Through the Catalog Challenge with the Sale-a-bration stamp set: Corner Bouquet.
The latest Room and Board Catalog arrived and my layout and color choice were inspired by an Art Piece that adorned one of the walls in a furniture photo.
So, here is what I created…

The colors, So Saffron, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo and Magenta Madness were added to the Basic White card stock with a Sponge Brayer, starting with the lightest color and working up to the darkest color. As the colors are so bold, I decided to heat set the smaller floral image in white before I started adding color. The sentiment, Thanks, from Simply Succulents is also heat set on a Melon Mambo scrap cut with the smallest Stitched Shapes Oval Die.
To mimic the uneven edges of the Art Piece, I tore the edges around my panel. I matted this with a Basic White, sponged in Saffron, Subtle 3D embossed piece of card stock. With the combination of all the colors, Calypso Coral felt like the best color choice for the card base.
Fun to see an idea come to life! What do you think? I plan to try this layering technique of inks in another color palette. How about Yellow, Blue and Green?
Corner Bouquet can be earned for FREE during the current Sale-a-bration promotion with a qualifying purchase of $50.00.
Cheer, Jolanda! Thanks for stopping by to visit with me today.
