WRAPPED BOUQUET – Friendship Card

Sunday Sketch – SS035

I waited until today to make this card.  Anticipating that the “Man in Brown” would be bringing me my new stuff and I was so glad he came early!

While I had decided that I was going to use the new stamp set Wrapped Bouquet for the SS035 Challenge, hadn’t made up my mind as to the colors I would choose.  This morning I came across the current TGIF Color Challenge – TGIFC297.  Black and White would work just fine for the sketch layout.

This is what I created…

WRAPPED BOUQUET – SIMPLY SUCCULENTS – FRIENDSHIP CARD – SS035

I added a little pop of color using Purple Posy and I softened the look with a Smoky Slate embossed panel. I also changed the dimensions of my matted image panel. Whisper White: 2¾” x 3¾” and Basic Black: 3” x 4”.

The lovely flower bouquet is from Wrapped Bouquet and the die cut leaves and posies come from the coordinating Wrapped Flowers Dies.  I chose the sentiment from another new stamp set, Simply Succulents and die cut the label with one of the Tasteful Labels Dies because I like to give flowers to good friends.  I used the Tasteful Textiles 3D embossing folder on the Smoky Slate panel.

Hope this card was worth the wait and you like it. I was pleased with how it turned out.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda
