Today I created a card for the Freshly Made Sketch Challenge – FMS466. I also chose to use the colors for December over at the SU! Color Challenge.
January 1st – the first day of the new year and it is so dreary…all day cloud and rain. I needed a little cheer me up, so these challenges were just what I needed to have fun in the Studio.
In the new catalog (January – June Mini), there is this wonderful Black and White Designer Series Paper: True Love. I did order it and intended to play with it over the holidays. Unfortunately, as with many others, my order has been caught up in the mail delivery slow down. Fingers crossed it will be here on Monday.
Therefore, in to my stash I went and chose a black and white floral pattern piece of paper from the retired Petal Passion Designer Series Paper. Using Stampin’ Blends, I colored the image with the suggested December SU! Color Challenge selection, substituting Petal Pink for Blushing Bride.

The Sketch is clean & simple and I chose to keep it that way. I added texture with both the Tasteful Textile and Subtle 3D Embossing Folders for a little interest and popped up the sentiment, Thank You from the new Art Gallery stamp set which was die-cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
A quick and pretty card.
Cheers, Jolanda…Welcome to 2021!
