CASE-ING TUESDAY #281 and #282. Sneak Peeks from the new January – June 2021 Mini Catalog.
Using the Sketches from the August – December 2020 Mini Catalog and mixing in new products, you can see how great the card samples and sketch layouts are. So much fun to see how you can alter them when you CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) as I have done today. Never be afraid to copy any design completely when you CASE (Copying and Sharing Everything).
Flower & Field – Happiness
I carried forward most of the elements from the sample (#281). The cut patterned paper strips, the vellum and the sentiment label. I chose to fussy cut floral elements to pop against the black label instead of using the ribbon feature.
The very pretty Field & Floral Designer Series Paper (a free selection item from the Sale-a-bration brochure) is sunning and you can see several of the patterns in the strips that I used to cover the entire Whisper White card front. The see-through nature of Vellum also allows more of the patterns to show but creates a softness. I chose the Tasteful Labels Dies for the Basic Black label and stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Moments with Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I fussy cut a couple of the Daisies from one of the patterned sheets to decorate and tie-in to the floral elements of the cut strips.
Art Gallery – Thinking of You
Similarly, I used all the elements from the sample (#282). Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper is used for both the back panel and the focal image panel. I stepped up the simple layout by adding accent edges in Pretty Peacock to separate the Floral Image from the Painted Canvas panel.
The sentiment from Art Gallery was stamped in Versmark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder on to a Vellum strip. Almost all adhesive shows through vellum so I wrapped the vellum strip around the bottom the floral panel and taped it to the back side. Instead of the ribbon accent, I chose to die-cut the Lacy Element from Nature’s Thoughts Dies.
