FREE AS A BIRD – Friendship Card

STAMPIN’ UP! 31 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS – DAY 17 CHALLENGE

Woke up this morning and discovered that Clare Langsford from Stampin’ Up! issued a Make A Card / Send A Card Color Challenge for the 17th Day of Christmas!  I needed a color inspiration because so many of the challenges I have been working on have been sketches.

That being said, as I continued to scroll through my Facebook Newsfeed, a new sketch popped up from Mary Fish.

Three colors, three squares and I knew immediately what I was going to create.

Here is what I created…using a variety of Stampin’ Up!’s wonderful Embossing Folders and the sentiment from a stamp set that hasn’t seen any ink for a while:  Free As A Bird.

Such fun colors and a great way to showcase all the various textures.

The second part of Clare’s challenge was to explain why it is important to me to send cards. For me, I like to keep in touch with friends near and far and let them know that I am thinking about them.  That is the beauty of handmade cards…

Cheers, Jolanda
