Garden Wishes

TUESDAY CASE.  Today I am showcasing a new stamp set, Garden Wishes from the upcoming new Catalog (available in January) and some very lovely Designer Series Paper, Flower & Field, available for free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-bration.  The card that I am CASE-ing is from page 36 of the 2020 August-December Mini Catalog.

This is what I decided to make. Taking inspiration from an already designed card and changing it up is a great way to jump start your own creativity!

I chose to fussy cut the floral spray from one of the sheets in the Designer Series pack.  I matched this to Basic Black and Pool Party.  I die cut two mats with the same Stitched Nested Label Die, so I could fit one into the other.  The Pool Party mat was embossed with the Old World Paper 3D embossing folder and the Basic Black inset was embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder.  A little shimmer was added by lightly sponging a bit of Frost Shimmer Paint across the Dainty Diamond embossed pattern.

I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on to a scrap of Whisper White card stock.  I then die-cut the label shape using the Trio of Tags Dies.  The white was a bit stark, so I chose the Dandelion Fluff image and stamped the image twice in Pool Party after I stamped-off off once.

I like how this card came together.  The colors in the floral DSP pop against the background colors.  I think the Flower & Field DSP will become a favorite.
