Saturday’s Keep Stamping Color Challenge – November 21st, 2020
If you know me, you will know that I love tea! What is your favorite? I will probably have it in the pantry. Come over for a Cuppa!
The challenges that I give to myself and like to share with you have really pushed me to play with a lot of the products that I have (and still have) in the Inque Spot Studio.
I selected this winter colored image for my challenge because it is so out of my usual realm. I really had to think about what I would create. There are a couple of blog challenges out there and I used them to inspire the card I created…

Just Add Ink (JAI532) is a Sketch Challenge and over at the Global Design Project (GDP267) the theme is Hot Drinks.
YOU ARE TEA-RIFFIC

I rooted around and found the Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper in my stash. This paper came out when Stampin’ Up! introduced the Stampin’ Blends. It is just perfect for coloring and so totally fit the theme of Hot Drinks. Using the Stampin’ Blends in Magenta Madness (substituted for Melon Mambo), Highland Heather and Balmy Blue, I colored the Teapot and the Teacup. I mixed a little Isopropyl Alcohol with the retired Delicata Silver Shimmer ink to paint Silver highlights on the Tea Set. The sentiment is from the retired stamp set A Nice Cuppa and is heat embossed in White. Following the Sketch layout, the Gorgeous Grape Circle is die-cut with the Stitched Shapes Dies and the Highland Heather sentiment label is die-cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The DSP mat is Balmy Blue and is from the In-Color patterns from 2019/2020. All the elements are arranged on a Magenta Madness card base.
CHRISTMAS CHEER
I liked this Sketch and continued coloring additional Teapots. This time, I chose the colors from the Colour INKspiration Challenge (CI89): Poppy Parade, Just Jade, Shaded Spruce and Gray Granite.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas and heat embossed in White on a label die-cut from the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The Poppy Parade Circle is die-cut from the Painted Labels Dies. The DSP mat is Gray Granite from the Neutral Collection patterns from 2018/2019. The elements have been arranged on a Shaded Spruce card base.
Are you a tea drinker? Do you collect interesting teapots? I had fun making these cards. Remember, you are welcome to join me for a Cuppa anytime!
Thanks for spending some of your time with me. Cheers, Jolanda
Need a card? Ask me and I can create one for you. Want the supplies to create your own, let me know and I can help you with that too!
Like this card? Want to make it?
I would LOVE to be your Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. If you live in the United States you can order your paper crafting supplies from my on-line store. It is so easy. THANK YOU!
Both lovely cards – great to see similar elements and colours that make the different cards. Great play on words too. So – I like liquorice tea…do you have that? c

Cannot say that I have ever seen that type of tea on sale near me. I do love black licorice and anise ouzo is a favorite! So I am sure I would really like it. Thanks for sharing this with me.
