World of Good

Friday Simple Stamping – Men’s Day – November 20, 2020

In the International Calendar of Days, November 19th was Men’s Day.  So, today, I bring you a selection of easy to create masculine cards. This is also the theme challenge over at the Watercooler this week: WWC298.

I am featuring the product: WORLD OF GOOD – MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK.  While the Memories & More Card Packs available from Stampin’ Up! can be used for Memory Keeping, I love to use them to create quick, easy and beautiful cards.  Add-on the Assorted Memories & More Cards and Envelopes and you are good to go without even stamping or cutting anything! Yet it is a lot of fun to mix things up.

Easy – Take A Risk

The 4” x 6” Mossy Meadow card is used as a mat and added to a pre-cut and scored card base.  The smaller Cinnamon Cider Globe Atlas 3” x 4” card is used as the main image.  The sentiment is trimmed from another 3” x 4” card (leaving a 3” x 3” piece to use on another project).  As a simple embellishment, I used a ½” x 4¾” strip of Whisper White as a banner flag.  The ends can be cut by hand, but I chose to use the Banners Pick A Punch to cut the flagged ends.

Step Up – Have an Adventure

To Step this card up, I used a Cinnamon Cider standard card base to match to compass on the 4” x 6” card, which I tore and fussy cut saving the other card part for another project.  I married this card up with the 4” x 6” Black and White Map card.  I trimmed 1¾” off the edge.  The sentiment was trimmed from the center of a 3” x 4” card (leaving 2 pieces approximately 1¼” x 3”).  The sentiment is matted with a scrap of Cinnamon Cider to match and separated Black from Black.

Stepped Up – I See You

WORLD OF GOOD – MEMORIES & MORE CARD PACK – SEE THE GOOD – SIMPLE STAMPING

Stepping Up this card, I used additional tools, employing Dies and the Cut & Emboss Machine.

If you recall, I mentioned that I had two pieces remaining from the sentiment I cut in Have an Adventure above.  As the Memories & More Cards are double-sided, the reverse was the Gray and Black Script.  I matted each piece in Basic Black and fit them across the top and bottom of the card.  I married these pieces with the 3” x 4” Black and White World Globe card which I matted in Whisper White.  For a better fit, I trimmed the card down to 2¾” x 3¾” with the mat at 3” x 4”.  The stamped sentiment is from the See the Good stamp set.  I felt that the words were so appropriate for this card.  The sentiment is stamped on a scrap of Brushed Silver cardstock in had my stash. I could have used Smoky Slate to match my chosen card base, but I liked the soft shine.  The sentiment is die-cut with the Layering Circle Dies and is centered over the Vellum Open Swirl from the Painted Labels Dies.

Simple, straightforward masculine cards.  Memories & More Card Packs makes cardmaking so easy What do you think? Do you like them?
