Wonderful Winterland – Paper Pumpkin Play Date

November 19, 2020

The NOVEMBER 2016 – WONDERFUL WINTERLAND was lovely note card kit of Winter Hills with Tree and House die-cuts.  The coordinating colors were Dapper Denim, Pool Party, Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz.  So soft and pretty.

Today, I am using the original Stamp Set and mixing it up with newer products.  A 2020 Update!

2020-2022 IN-COLOR MERRY & BRIGHT

IN-COLOR MERRY & BRIGHT – PAPER PUMPKIN – NOVEMBER 2016 – WINTER WONDERLAND

A clean and simple card with a little pop.  I stamped both a row of Houses in Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight and Trees in Just Jade.  Both of these were fussy cut.  On my work table, I had a few strips of Whisper White which had been cut with the Curvy Dies and decided to use them as Snow Banks.  For color separation of the Snow, I chose to use Shimmery White cardstock for the image panel.  I like that the Shimmery White is not a bright white.  The Sentiment and Star Galaxy, stamped in Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight respectively, are from the Curvy Christmas stamp set.  The Stars are colored in with the Bumble Bee Stampin’ Write Marker. The card base is Just Jade to match the Trees.

A fun, bright and merry card.

RUSTIC MERRY CHRISTMAS IN PLAID

RUSTIC PLAID MERRY CHRISTMAS – PAPER PUMPKIN – NOVEMBER 2016 – WINTER WONDERLAND

I wanted to create a more masculine card that would be suitable for any fellow.  Plaid is such a popular motif and goes so well with a rustic sense of charm.

I mixed Just Jade and Crumb Cake with the kit’s original Dapper Denim color.  I created the plaid background using the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  The Dapper Denim paper comes from cutting apart one of the envelopes that came with the kit.  I cut the scalloped rectangle with one of the dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set.  I used the die as a mask and with our new Blending Brush (available in January 2021), added Crumb Cake coloring to the center of the rectangle.  The Sentiment, Houses and Trees were stamped in Dapper Denim, Just Jade and Crumb Cake.  A little bit of Linen Twine was added to compete the card.

I think it a perfect Christmas Card for any guy!
