Thanks
Have you ever made a card with no stamp and / or no ink?
When I was deciding what stamped image to use for today’s sketch, I thought about trees. Should it be Fall or Christmas? I made a Christmas card last week. Okay, then an Autumn card…
Then I thought about what patterned paper I might use. The Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper is so pretty, let’s have a look. Those Mint Macaron patterns caught my eye…
Seduced by the gilded patterns, I chose to accent with the copper colored cardstock from the Brushed Metallics combo pack. Looking at all the pieces I chose, trees no longer seemed right. The label die from the Beautiful Boughs Dies is so elegant with the four diamond points and the pine branch die fits ever so nicely in it…
If I did not stamp a focal image, a stamped sentiment didn’t seem to look right either. Back to the dies. I chose the word “Thanks” from the Well Written Dies in the copper metallic cardstock to compliment the patterned paper.
Not a full tree, just a branch…not exactly my original concept yet I really like how this card came together. No stamp. No ink.
Cheers!
