Birthday Cheer

October 6, 2020

  • Global Design Project #261 – #GDP261 – Color Challenge
  • Case-ing Tuesday #272 (August – December 2020 Mini Catalog, page 36)

This week, the Color Combo challenge has a great mix of colors and I decided to combine them with today’s Case-ing Tuesday #272 challenge.

Key elements from the sample from the Mini Catalog include an embossed mat, a label, a ribbon, die cut shapes and some embellishmets.

My mat background is the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder. All the die-cut elements come from Nature’s Thoughts. I cut the larger dotted-edge mat from watercolor paper and applied a Mint Macaron wash. My ribbon element is the open link chain die cut from Copper Brushed Metallic cardstock and my shapes are the feathers cut from Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Mint Macaron cardstock. For an embellishment, I finished off the feathers with a little bow using the 1/8″ Copper Metallic Ribbon.

For the sentiment, I selected Birthday Cheer from the Petals & Parcels stamp set. I clear embossed using Cajun Craze ink and Versamark.

Check out the Global Design Project blog for more projects and details on how to play along.
