This week my challenge is to complete 3 cards by using a 6” square of patterned paper. If you use a double-sided paper, you can get several different looks.
Here are my cards followed by the One Sheet Wonder cut pattern designed by Deseree Kramm and a basic sketch for all three cards.
The Designer Series Paper pick is: FOREVER GREENERY

Card 1 (Friends)

The cut piece, as per the diagram for this card is 1 ¾” x 6”. If you create your card to the sketch, you will trim this piece down to 5 ¼”. For my design, I further cut this piece down to 4 ¾” because I chose to layer it upon a Soft Seafoam mat piece that is 2” x 5”.
The Soft Seafoam card base is 5 ½” x 8 ½” folded in half for a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card front. The Just Jade panel is 4” x 5 ¼” and dry embossed with the “Old World Paper 3D” folder.
Choose any sentiment and find a label punch or die that fits and suits your design esthetic. For this card I chose “Friends make the good times better” from the “Waterfront” stamp set.

For interest and bling, I added the laser cut accent leaves using the white side of the “Forever Gold Specialty Laser-Cut paper” pieces along with a swirl of “Gold Thread” from the “Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.
Card 2 (Thinking of You)

The cut piece, as per the diagram for this card is 2” x 4 ¼”. Depending on the orientation of the pattern in your chosen paper, you will either orient your card horizontal or vertical. The sketch shows the panel to the left when in a horizontal position or to the top when in a vertical position. Sketches are just suggestions. In my case, the cut panel suggested that the position would be vertical and by the time, I decided what I would create, the panel looked best centered.
I am a fan of matting. Again, the Shaded Spruce card base is 5 ½” x 8 ½” folded in half for a 4 ¼” x 5 ½” card front. The Pool Party panel is 4” x 5 ¼” and dry embossed with the “Tasteful Textiles 3D” folder. The patterned paper is matted with a 2 ⅛” x 4 ⅜” piece of Shaded Spruce.

For interest and bling, I added Copper “Brushed Metallic” cardstock elements die cut using both the “Forever Flourishing” and “Tasteful Labels” dies. I opted to copper emboss the sentiment, “Thinking of You” from the “Blossoms in Bloom” stamp set.
Card 3 (Moments)

The remaining cut piece is a 4 ¼” square cut on the diagonal. As per the diagram these pieces are set in the corners of a traditional card front that is 4 ¼ x 5 ½”. If your paper is double-sided and the pattern not too busy, you might use both patterns. Depending on the way you cut your diagonal, your pattern may look better (top left / bottom right) or the opposite (bottom left / top right).
Because both patterns on either side of the paper were bold, I only had the choice of the “white” side (Card 1) or the “green” side (Card 2). I preferred the “white side”. As discussed previously, I like to mat. So, I cut down my square to 3 ¾” before cutting on the diagonal because this size meant the corners would layer on to the mat panel correctly.
The card base is Mint Macaron and the 4” x 5 ¼” panel is Just Jade. The Just Jade panel was dry embossed diagonally with the “Greenery” folder to get the textured impression in the middle split.

For interest and bling, I added “Rhinestone Basic Jewels” to the sentiment label that was die cut using the “Stitched Nested Labels Dies” introducing Pretty Peacock in to the mix. The sentiment, “Collect Beautiful Moments” comes from the “Beautiful Moments” stamp set.
ONE SHEET WONDERS are a great way to use your various Designer Series Papers. I think each of these cards turned out really well. What do you think? Which is your favorite?
I have a document with the cut pattern and the sketch layouts available. Send me a request and I will send it to you.
Post the card(s) you make using this One Sheet Wonder pattern on my Facebook Post:
