Fresh Florals – Friday Simple Stamping

 August 14th, 2020

This week my theme for Simple Stamping is FRESH FLORALS – essentially anything that blooms.

I chose “Grace’s Garden” stamp set (151513) and the coordinating “Garden Gateway Dies” (151512).  For the color palette, I am working with the current Color INKspiration CI83 challenge:  Bumble Bee, Mossy Meadow, Basic Black and Whisper White.

“Hello” (Easy)

Hello – Grace’s Garden – Simple Stamping

A quick and simple card with a little masking and coloring.

The gate is stamped in Crumb Cake (147116) and masked so that the flowers, stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black Ink (132708) appear both behind and in front of the gate. Coloring with Mango Melody (154888), Daffodil Delight (154883), Mossy Meadow (154890) and Crumb Cake (154882) Stampin’ Blends.

For a little interest, I embossed the Mossy Meadow back panel with one of the “Wrapped in Texture” Embossing Folders (153574) and cut out the Whisper White panel with the one of the “Stitched Rectangle Dies” (151820).  The sentiment is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black and cut out with the “Stitched Nested Dies” (149638).

This card would be just as nice with straight cuts if you do not have access to a Die Cutting machine.

“Thank You” (Casual)

Thank You – Grace’s Garden – Simple Stamping Step Up

To step up this card, I created my own patterned paper by striping the coordinating Stampin’ Blend colors, Daffodil Delight, Mossy Meadow and Basic Black (154843) on Whisper White cardstock.

Three Bumble Bee panels are cut with the “Stitched So Sweetly Dies” (151690) and the floral images are stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  The Mossy Meadow back panel is, again, dry embossed with the “Wrapped in Texture” embossing folder.

The bow is created with “Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon – Whisper White (151326) and is colored Black using the Basic Black Stampin’ Blend.

For the sentiment, I added ink to the only words “Thank” and “You” with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker (100082) before stamping on Whisper White.  The sentiment is cut out and mounted on Basic Black using the “Stitched Nested Dies”.

“With ALL My Heart” (Avid)

With All My Heat – Grace’s Garden – Simple Stamping Stepped Up

This card is further stepped up. All images are stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black.  The flowers, the cat and the bird images are colored with the Stampin’ Blends and cut using the “Garden Gateway Dies”.

The sky and grass are sponged with Balmy Blue (147105) and Mossy Meadow (147111) Classic Inks using a Sponge Dauber (133773).  The gate is highlighted with the Smoky Slate Stampin Blend (154904).

The Crumb Cake front panel is dry embossed with the “Bricks & Mortar 3D” (149643) Embossing Folder.  I added highlights to some of the bricks with Whisper White (147277) Craft Stampin’ Pad and Crumb Cake (147116) Classic Ink after using the “Layering Oval Dies” (151771) to cut the window opening.

The bow was made by coloring “Linen Thread” (104199) with the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend.  The sentiment is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black Ink on Bumble Bee and cut with the Layering Circle Dies (151770).  Finally the circle is sponged with Mossy Meadow Classic Ink.

Post the card(s) you make using the theme “Fresh Floral” on my Facebook Post: so we can all see your creativity.
