Paper Hugs

Stampin’ Through the Catalog. This is a challenge I found on Facebook. One by one the moderator, stamps her way through the catalog every Tuesday and Thursday. I have only just begun and I do not have all of the stamp sets. I plan to complete the challenges as they come along for the stamp sets I do own.

“Paper Hugs”

For this card, I wanted to try a new layout created by my friend Cheryl Hamilton. Her “Hinge Closure Fun Fold” design seemed ideal for the “Comfort & Hope” stamp set (152509). This is a fun and easy type of card to make with the “Stitched Nested” Dies (149638).

The layout is perfect for highlighting beautiful patterned paper. I chose one of the lovely patterns from the new “Gilded Autumn” Specialty Designers Paper (153520). The colors in the paper inspired the ink color choices of Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

Opening the “hinge” creates an open arm inviting you to engage in a paper hug.

Looking for a challenge? Try your hand at CASE-ING Cheryl’s Fun Fold card and/or using the Comfort & Hope stamp set.
