“Primary Stitches”
I wanted to play with the shape suggested by the sketch. What could I use to replace the “oval”? I recently acquired the “Stitched Rectangles Dies”. Could they possibly work? Well, I think they do!
I wanted to create something fun and bright. It was rainy and dark when I was deciding what to do. Primary Colors and Stitched Shapes popped into my head and this card is the result.
A 1” strip of Magenta Madness In-Color 2020 / 2022 Designer Series Paper was cut in a repeat pattern with the open triangle die and used like a ribbon. A Daffodil Delight Classic Ink wash was applied to a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with the new Water Color Painter brush, left to dry and then cut with one of the triangle dies.
The Pacific Point back panel and the Granny Apple Green strip were cut with the “Stitched Rectangles Dies”
For the sentiment, I used one of the label stamps from “Tags Tags Tags”. I wanted this to be a circle shape. I used Pacific Point Classic Ink and stamped on to Magenta Madness. The smallest “Stitched Shapes” circle die left a little too much of a border. I fixed this by further cutting down that circle with a 1¼” circle punch.
