Welcome back! Happy Tuesday. I have a quick clean and simple holiday card for you this afternoon…
The challenges: Jingle Belles (#2621) for Pink Christmas; Little Red Wagon (#880) to add a Frame; and Krafty Chicks (#842) for a CAS styled card.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Sending love and joy this Christmas, from the Woodland Wishes stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive Product, was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
- The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a soft Linen effect.
- Frame: (5” x 3”) Basic White cardstock die-cut twice with the (2⅜” x 2⅝) and (2⅛” x 2⅜”) Octagon Shaped dies from the Forever Florals Dies set, still available but now on the Last Chance List.
- The two Frame pieces were adhered together to create more dimension.
- Focal Image – Poinsettia: (2½” x 2½”) plus a scrap of Basic White cardstock.
- The Poinsettia image from the retired Reason For The Season stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobble ink as was the center Floral petals.
- The Poinsettia was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Petals – Light and Dark Bubble Bath and Leaves – Light Strawberry Slush.
- Highlights were added with the White Gel Pen.
- Both the full Poinsettia and the center Petals were fussy-cut with Detail Scissors.
All elements were adhered to the card base for a pretty pink holiday card. The Poinsettia pieces were popped up with Dimensionals.
