Irresistible Blooms – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Happy Thursday…October already…WOW!

Today’s line-up of challenges: Krafty Chicks (#840) Birthday; Color Dare (#721) Palette; Retro Rubber (#281) Tic Tac Toe – Left Column; and choosing the Sunday Stamps (#395) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Peaceful Pine cardstock.
• Distressed Accent Mat: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock hand-torn on two edges.
• Distressed Background Panel: (3½” x  4¾”) Hydrangea Hue cardstock dry-embossed with the Softly Woven 3D Embossing Folder and then hand-torn on the same two edges.
• Cross Strip Accent Mat: (3⅜” x 1¼”) Peaceful Pine cardstock scrap torn on right edge.
• Cross Strip: (3¼” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Splatter image from the retired Irresistible Blooms stamp set (circa 2023) was stamped with 2^nd Generation (stamped off once) Peaceful Pine ink.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the retired Enjoy The Moment stamp set (circa 2021) was stamped with Peaceful Pine ink and then also torn on the right edge.
• Focal Images – Flowers and Leaves: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The two Floral and Leaves images from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set were stamped with Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine inks.
  • Using the light Hydrangea Hue and Peaceful Pine Stampin’ Blends Markers, color was added to the Flowers and Leaves.
  • The Flowers and Leaves were then fussy-cut with Detail Scissors.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Two Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals and a double White Baker’s Twine Bow was added to complete the card.

A pretty birthday card.
