Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#584), where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired. Today’s inspiration can be found on page 17 of the Sep – Dec 2026 Catalog.
My design choices were influenced by Seize The Birthday (#335) using Fall colors; Inkspirational (#377) choosing Fall theme, Leaves and Colors from the inspiration cupcakes; and Tic Tac Toe (#302) for the Center Line – Dies, Embossing and Free = Autumn.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pecan Pie Two-Tone cardstock (light side) dry-embossed with the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder.
- Using a Sanding Block, the white core pattern was highlighted.
- Cross Panel: (3½” x 2½”) Pecan Pie Leaf patterned piece of paper from the Glow of Harvest Specialty Designer Series pack, the Exclusive Product of the Month for August 2026, still available with a qualifying purchase.
- Vertical Panel: (4½” x 2½”) Floral Leafy patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack die-cut with the (4¼” x 2⅛”) Elongated Hexagon die from the Nested Essentials Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Shapes – Leaves: Gold Glow and Cajun Craze Two-Tone cardstock scraps.
- The Leaves were die-cut using dies from the Paper Pumpkin Add-On products.
- Cajun Craze (light) – Detailed Flora Dies set (3rd Qtr 2026) and Golden Glow (light and dark) – Everyday Celebration Dies (3rd Qtr 2025).
- The Leaves were die-cut using dies from the Paper Pumpkin Add-On products.
- Sentiment Banner: Early Espresso Two-Tone (light side) cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Wild Bunch stamp set, another Exclusive Product of the Month for June 2026, no longer available, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then trimmed on the diagonal.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Sentiment Banner and the Leaves were popped up with Dimensionals. Antique Pearls, 2026-2028 In Color Dots (Golden Glow) and Antique Bronze Dots (R) were added for a bit of bling.
An attractive Fall themed birthday card.
