Older & Wiser – Loyal Leaves

Design Time: Cardz 4 Guyz (#390) with a Fall theme and color combo.

Choices were influenced by: We Love Stamping (#2609) selecting Leaves; Four Seasons (#2609) Fall; and choosing the Retro Rubber (#280) Sketch with favorite retired stamp sets.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Early Espresso cardstock dry-embossed with the Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder.
• Side Strip: (1⅛” x 5”) Calypso Coral / Early Espresso Plaid patterned piece of paper from the retired Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Mat: (2⅞” x 4⅜”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Older & Wiser, from the retired Loyal Leaves stamp set (circa 2020) was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
• Focal Panel: (2¾” x 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • The Gingko and Beech Leave Skeleton images, also from the Loyal Leaves stamp set, were stamped with Versamark ink.  The Gingko Leaves were heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder, and the Beech Leaves were heat-set with Copper Embossing Powder.
  • Shape – Circle: Using the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive Product, an opening was die-cut to reveal the greeting.
• Cross Strip: (3” x ⅝”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Best Wishes, from the retired Sunrise Sailing stamp set (circa 2025) was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Best Wishes Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and a few retired Antique Bronze Dots were added to complete the card.

A wonderful seasonal birthday or retirement card for a gentleman.
