Time again for the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#497) Design Team Challenge. This round, we have a nice Sketch.
My design was influenced by Time Out (#321) to go to the Movies, and I chose “Home Alone” to fit in with the Krafty Chicks (#837) Christmas theme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shade Spruce cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, All hearts come home for Christmas, from the retired Hearts Come Home stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce ink and then dry-embossed with the retired Softly Falling Embossing Folder.
- Diagonal Cut Panel: (4” x 3”) Pine Tree patterned piece of paper from the Whispering Woods Designer Series Paper pack, the 2026 Helping Hand Charity Donation Product, cut at the (2”) mark.
- Border Accent: (4½” x ¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock trimmed.
- Accent Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock punched out with the (2¼”) Circle Punch, still in my Tool stash.
- Focal Image – House: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
- The House and Roof images from the retired Ringed With Nature stamp set were stamped with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Blueberry Bushel ink and 1st Generation Smoky Slate ink and then die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive Product.
- Additional Shapes – Snowflakes: (3” x 1½”) Shimmering Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper, another On-Line Exclusive Product, die-cut with two of the Snowflake dies from the retired Seasonal Layers Thinlit Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the top House popped up with Dimensionals.
Getting a jump on the Holiday cards. Can you believe there are only 15 weeks until Christmas.
