Sunflower – Thanks

Design Team Time for The Card Concept (#229) Inspiration Board for the theme, colors and texture for a clean and simple layered Thank You card.

Sharing with Ellibelle’s I Spy (#40) Sunflowers; Just Us Girls (#839) Dies with a Thanks sentiment; and Can You Handle The Pressure (#260822) Embossing Folders with a Bee twist.  

Choosing the Sunday Stamps (#394) Sketch to bring my ideas together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Die-Cut Circle #1: (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set was used to cut into the Panel.
  • Die-Cut Circle #2: (3¼” x 3¼’) Darling Duckling Two-Tone (light side) cardstock die-cut with the same (3”) Stitched Circle die.
  • Both the Basic White Panel and the die-cut Darling Duckling Circle #2 were added to the Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product, and dry-embossed.
  • Using a Sanding Block, the embossed Flower on Circle #2 was lightly sanded to bring out the white core, highlighting the relief.
• Shape – Hexagon: (2” x 2¼”) Early Espresso Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired Autumn Toile Specialty Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (1¾” x 2”) Hexagon die from the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder set, still available but on the Last Chance List.
  • The Bee image from the retired Honey Bee stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Sentiment Label: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, thankful for you, from the Fern & Flora stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and die-cut with the coordinating Ticket Corner die from the Fern & Flora Dies set.  The Bundle is also an On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Darling Duckling Floral Circle, Bee Hexagon and Sentiment Label were all popped up with Dimensionals.  A few gold-toned Low Profile Dots, now retried, were added to complete the card.

A nice Fall themed Thank You card.
