S is for Seahorse – Wishing you…

Welcome back!  Already Thursday.  I do not know where the week has gone…

Clean and Simple for AAA Cards (#320) with an “S” theme.  I went beachy with a Seahorse.

Rounding out my ideas, I selected the palette suggested by Color Dare (#714) and to use dies for Just Us Girls (#835).

I am sharing this card with a number of other challenges that have a “beach” theme: Four Seasons (#2608); Inkspirational (#373) and If You Give A Crafter a Cookie (#219) along with Critter Crazy (#113) with an animal theme.

Here is the result:

SCALLOPED BLOOMS – SEA LIFE DIES – AAACC320 – CD714 – JUGS835 – TFSC2608 – IC373 – CC219 – 2CCCB113

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shimmery White cardstock (retired but still in my collection).
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Shimmery White cardstock.
    • Using the Wide Tipped Water Painter Brush, a wash of Coastal Cabana ink was watercolored.
    • Once dry, the sentiment, Wishing you…, from the Scalloped Blooms stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • Focal Images – Seahorse and Coral: Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper die-cut with the dies from the retired Sea Life Dies set.
    • Again, using the Wide Tipped Water Painter Brush, Pretty Peacock ink was added to the Seahorse and Calypso Coral ink was added to the Coral.

All elements were adhered to the card base for a dreamy watercolored clean and simple all occasion card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
