Lakeside Cycle – You Are An Inspiration

Time again for the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#494) Design Team Challenge.  This round, we have a Sketch.

My design was influenced by: The Male Room (#212) for Hobbies; As You See It (#378) for Summer Days; and Krafty Chicks (#831) with a Summery Beachy Mood Board. 

I selected to create an alternative card using the April 2026 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Lakeside Retreat.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Cloud Envelope cut apart.
• Focal Panel: Preprinted Beach Scene from the Kit.
  • The Seagull image from the kit stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and the Bullrushes image was stamped with Peaceful Pine ink.
• Cross Strip: Preprinted Peaceful Pine Loose Gingham patterned piece of paper from the kit trimmed to (5¼” x ¾”).
• Focal Image: Preprinted Bicycle Ephemera for the kit.
• Sentiment Banner: Preprinted Pecan Pie Label from the kit.
  • The sentiment, You are an inspiration, from the kit stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Bicycle and the Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals.

Cycling is a wonderful hobby.  Great for exercise!  It is also so much fun to make the beach your destination.
