Woodland Wishes – Christmas in July

Design Team Time for The Card Concept (#228b) Inspiration Board for both theme and colors for a clean and simple holiday card.

Sharing with Christmas (or not) Bingo (#19) Letter N.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Card Front: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Animal Tree image from the new Woodland Wishes stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the greeting, May your Christmas be merry and bright.
  • The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers:  Colors chosen: Cardinal – Light and Dark Real Red; Owl – Light and Dark Smoky Slate; Fox – Light Cajun Craze and Balmy Blue; Deer – Light Pecan Pie and Balmy Blue and Color Lifter for the Spots; Bear – Light Balmy Blue; Squirrel & Bunny – Light and Dark Crumb Cake; Doves – Light Cloud Cover and Balmy Blue; Gift Box – Light Real Red and Peaceful Pine; Greenery – Light Peaceful Pine; and Decorations – Dark Golden Glow.
  • Shimmer was added to the Greenery and Decorations with the Peaceful Pine and Golden Glow Shimmer Brushes.
  • Additionally, Golden Glow Shimmer was flicked onto the panel and also added with a small Stipple Brush as I had a little extra shimmer from the first getting started squeeze.
  • A few Clear Dewdrops Embellishments were added to complete the card.
