Far Away Landscapes – Christmas Wishes

Welcome back!  This week is just flying by…

Creating a holiday card for Farm Quest Country Christmas (#32), always a rural winter theme and sharing with The Male Room (#211) looking for an Outdoors type card.

I selected the right card sample on page 33 of the May – August 2026 Stampin’ Up! Catalog for the Stampin’ Up! Only (#402) Catalog Case for my layout.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Cloud Cover Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2027 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Mat: (4⅛” x 2⅝”) Real Red cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Farm Scene from the Far Away Landscapes stamp set, still available but just added to the Last Chance List, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink as was the sentiment, to you and yours this Christmas, from the retired Brightest Glow stamp set.
  • The Scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Barn & Silo Roofs – Light Real Red; Barns & Silo – Light and Dark Crumb Cake; Trees – Light Peaceful Pine; Field Snow – Light Balmy Blue; Fence – Light Pecan Pie; Grasses – Light Golden Glow; and Clouds, a mix of Light Cloud Cover and Smoky Slate.
• Decoration – Snowflake Circles: Time For Celebration Mix & Match Ephemera Pack, also now on the Last Chance List.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the selected card sample layout.  The Snowflake ephemera were popped up with Dimensionals and a (10”) length of Linen Thread was added and tied with a knot, completing the card.

A pastoral holiday farm scene, winter ready for Christmas.
