Flowers Fair – Birthday

Welcome back!  Catching up…

Design Team Time for Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#566), where we select cards from the Catalogs and remake them as we are inspired.  Today’s inspiration can be found on page 29 of the May – Aug 2026 Catalog.

I selected the Facebook’s Global Design Projects (#549) Palette and am sharing with Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#210) where we are asked to use two or more of the 2026/2028 In Colors along with the Addicted To Stamps & More (#518) Birthday theme.

Here is the result:

FLOWERS FAIR – FRAGRANT LAYERS – CUEST CREW – CT566 – GDP549 – CI210 – ATSM518

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Hydrangea Hue cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Hydrangea Hue Large Dot patterned piece of paper from the Painted Patterns 2026 2028 In Color Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Outline Floral image from the Fragrant Layers stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Hydrangea Hue ink over all the Dots to change up the background.
  • Tilted Squares: (2½” x 2½”) Hydrangea Hue Polka Dot patterned piece of paper also from the Painted Patterns Designer Series paper pack (reverse side) and Hydrangea Hue Two-Tone cardstock (darkside).
  • Shapes – Flowers & Circle: Basic White cardstock.
    • For a previous project, I stamped the full Flowers Fair background stamp, another On-Line Exclusive product, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and only used a few of the flowers.  This time I chose to color two of the other Flowers with Crisp Cantaloupe and Gold Glow inks using a Blender Pen for a watercolor effect and then fussy-cut them with Detail Scissors.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Cutest Crew stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Hydrangea Hue ink and die-cut it with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were then adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flowers and the Sentiment were popped up with a Dimensionals

A cute birthday card…

I’m looking forward to seeing what you create based on the sketch.
