Time for Celebration – Noel

Welcome back!  Happy to find some time to visit the Studio…

I am playing with Jingle Belles (#2610) for an Ombre Wonderland, choosing the Creative Colours (#242) Palette with the Paper Player (#787) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
• Side Panel: (2¼” x 4½”) White & Black Zig Zag patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Ordinary Life Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Using Blending Brushes, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue and Coastal Cabana inks were blended in an Ombre style to color the paper.
• Shape(s) – Snowflakes: Selected Snowflakes from the Time for Celebration Mix & Match Ephemera Pack were brushed with same color inks to add definition.  The Ephemera Pack is still available but now on the Last Chance List.
• Sentiment Label: Blueberry Bushel cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, Noel, from the retired Joyful Tidings stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then trimmed diagonally to (2¾” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Snowflakes were popped up with Dimensionals and each was decorated with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel for extra sparkle.

A swirl of floating flakes, just perfect for a holiday card.
