Pretty Tulips – For a Fab Friend

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday…I combined several challenges for today’s card.

As You See It (#373) for Speed, a card created in less than 10 minutes with a Tulip theme.

Choosing a clean and simple design, always a good choice for speed, for Krafty Chicks (#821).

Picking the Friendship theme for Little Red Wagon (#859) and the Palette suggested by Creative Colours (#242).

The trick for speed challenges is to have an idea mapped out, collect your materials and tools and just hit the timer and get going.  How long do you think it took for me to create this card?

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock pre-cut and then folded and burnished.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock pre-cut.
• Accent Circle: (4”x 4”) Black and White Dot patterned piece of paper from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper pack pre-cut and then die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Focal Image – Tulip Vase: The Multi-Vase patterned piece of paper was selected, also from the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series paper pack.  The Tulip Vase was clipped from the page with Detail Scissors and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Blooms – Light and Dark Bubble Bath; Leaves – Light Peaceful Pine swapped out for Shaded Spruce; and Vase – Light and Dark Crumb Cake.
  • Once coloring was complete, the Tulip Vase was fussy-cut with Detail Scissors.
• The Accent Circle was set in the preferred place and the sentiment, To a fabulous friend, from the Exclusive January 2026 Product of the Month, the Fabulous Sayings stamp set, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• All pieces were then adhered, and the Tulip Vase was popped up with Dimensionals and a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for a bit of bling.

The Timer was stopped…

A nice friendship card.
