Pink Floral Birthday – Celebrate

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday…a perfect day for creating…

Over at As You See it (#371), we are given a recipe of ingredients that need to be used on our card.  They are all accounted for.

I am sharing this card with Seize the Birthday (#325) for their Primarily Pink twist and Beautiful Blossoms (#40) for the Mood Board Pink Flowers.

Bringing all my ideas together, I selected the current Sunday Stamps (#385) Sketch with the Frame and Flowers as my shapes.

Here is the result:

LOVELY ARRANGEMENTS BUNDLE – BEAUTIFUL MOTIFS – AYSI371 – STB325 – BBC040 – SSC385

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Barely Blush cardstock dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a little bit of texture.
  • Shape #1 – Frame: (2½” x 3¼”) Basic Black cardstock die-cut with both the (2⅜” x 3”) and (1⅞” x 2⅝”) Stitched Rounded Rectangle dies from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
  • Shape #2 – Flowers: (5½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The two Floral images from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, were stamped multiple times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Barely Blush, Bubble Bath, Flirty Flamingo and Strawberry Slush.
    • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Lovely Arrangements Dies set and then fussy-cut for a closer trim with Paper Snips.
  • Banner: (4¼” x ¾”) Strawberry Slush cardstock scrap trimmed diagonally.
  • Sentiment Strip: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Celebrate, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set, still available but now on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed to (3⅛” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Two Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.

A lovely floral birthday card.
