Wild About You – Zoo Babies

The Studio is back in business!  Welcome back.  Hoping you will find some time to be creative this weekend.

My mash up for today: AAA Cards (#310) with a Zoo Animal theme in the clean and simple style and Color Hues (#129) with a Purple and Orange toned Marigold color scheme.

Bringing my ideas together, the Retro Rubber (#268) Sketch featuring favorite retired stamp sets.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4⅝” x 3⅜”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (4½” x 3¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Mask: (4½” x 3¼”) Copy Paper die-cut with the (⅞” x 2⅞”) Rectangle die from the retired Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set, three times.
    • With the Mask in place, Timid Tiger ink was added with a Blending Brush to create the triple vertical shapes.
  • The Giraffe, Lion and Elephant images from the retired Zoo Babies stamp set (circa 2006) were stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.
  • With the aid of the Stamp-a-ma-jig Positioning Tool, the sentiment, Wild About You, from the retired same named stamp set (circa 2013) was also stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.

All layers were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Simple stamping, just ink, stamps and paper for a cute card.
