Gift of Joy – Wrapped in Love

Welcome back!  Already Thursday…holiday chores have kept me hopping today.

I had a chance to get into the Studio late in the day to play with the following challenges: Paper Players (#767) Gifting; Tic Tac Toe (#285) Right Vertical Line – Bow, Square and Sparkle; Paper Craft Crew (#651) Inspiration Photo; and Krafty Chicks (#798) Christmas Week.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) White Glimmer Paper from the retired Real Red & White Glimmer Paper pack.
  • The sentiment, Wishing you a season wrapped in love and tied up with joy, from the Gift of Joy stamp set, recently added to the Last Chance List, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
• Accent Mat: (3¼” x 3⅝”) Real Red Glimmer Paper from the same paper pack.
• Support Panel: (3” x 3⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
• Decoration – Gift Boxes: (3” x 3⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Open Box image, from the Gift of Joy stamp set, was stamped in a nine-square pattern with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The coordinating Diagonal Box image was stamped in a crisscross pattern into the Boxes with both Poppy Parade and Shade Spruce inks.
  • The Bow images, from the same stamp set, were stamped on top of the Box stacks, again with Poppy Parade and Shade Spruce inks.  Using a Fine-Tipped Gel Pen, I added detail to the Poppy Parade Bow.
  • I chose to pop-up the Poppy Parade Gift Box, so I cut them apart with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base.
