Christmas Magic – Joyful Tidings

Welcome back!  I had some fun creating this card…but it took me some time to find all the pieces…

I am playing with the TGIF (#551) Sketch; choosing to add a few elements suggested by Time Out (#302), Nature (Snowflakes), Sparkle and White; the Color Hues (#122) palette of Teal and Silver; and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (November) Anything Goes theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Silver & White Splatter patterned piece of paper from the retired Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Side Panel: (2” x 5”) Teal and Snowflake Foil patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack.
• Diamond Square: (2¼” x 2¼”) Silver Foil Specialty Paper die-cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. The silver photographed with a slight golden hue.
• Shape – Double Snowflake: (2¼” x 2¼”) Teal Foil from the retired Blue Foils Specialty Paper pack die-cut with the Snowflake die from the retired Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies set and (2” x 2”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the Snowflake die from the retired Season Layers Thinlits Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, May the wonder and magic of Christmas fill you with delight, from the Joyful Tidnigs stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and then die-cut with Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A few Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added for more sparkle and shine.

A very pretty holiday card, but the foils sure make it difficult to photograph.
