Sentimental Framing – Pumpkin Harvest

Hi again! Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#655).  Keeping it simple…

Design influences were inspired by: As You See It (#360) with a Harvest theme; Farm Quest (#77) for Pumpkins; and choosing the Color Hues (#121) suggestion of Browns and Oranges.

Here is the result:

SENTIMENTAL FRAMING – LASTING LINEN – AHSC655 – AYSI360 – FQCB77 – TCH121

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Accent Strips: (5¼” x ½”) Early Espresso Dotted patterned pieces of paper from the Gathering Together Specialty Designers Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Focal Panel: (5¼” x 2¾”) Pumpkin Patch patterned piece of paper from the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Pop-Up: Pumpkin Patch scrap.
    • Using Paper Snips, one of the Pumpkin Patch designs was fussy-cut and popped up with Dimensionals.
  • Sentiment Label: (4” x 1”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
    • The cardstock scrap was pressed onto the Lasting Linen Background stamp, another On-Line Exclusive product, that was inked with Crumb Cake ink.
    • The sentiment, I am so grateful, from the Sentimental Framing stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and then the Label was trimmed on the diagonal.  Final Size: (3½” x ⅞”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and tucked under the Popped-Up Pumpkin element and a double Linen Thread Bow was added for Country Charm.

A lovely Thanksgiving card.

I am looking forward to seeing how you use this week’s sketch.

  2. That paper is just so pretty that it really needs little else doing to it. You’ve chosen colours that bring out the best of it. I think the addition of that swoosh of twin was a great idea. Thank you for joining in with us at As You See It.
