Peaceful Garden – Celebrate

Welcome back! Design Team Time for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge (#648).  Lots of possibilities with this one especially if you want to play with Patterned Papers.

Design influences: Inspire Create (#201) Shades of Blue and Green and more specifically Colour Hues (#118) Smoky Blue and Sage Green.

and sharing with Love Those Pretty Papers (#15) and their ask re: Favorite Brand and Why…Stampin’ Up!, of course, especially for the great color coordination.

Here is the result:

WANTED TO SAY DIES – PEACEFUL GARDEN DSP – AHSC648 – ICC201 – TCH118

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
  • Blocks: Peaceful Garden Designer Series Paper patterns. Large Floral (1¾” x 3¾”); Small Floral (1¼” x 3½”); and Leaf (1” x 3¼”).
    • The light-colored Leaves on the Leaf patterned paper were colored with the retired Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Marker to add a more Sage toned Green to the mix.
  • Sentiment: The word Celebrate, from the retired Wanted To Say Dies set was double die-cut from scraps of Basic White cardstock.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Keeping it simple to showcase the lovely paper patterns.

I am looking forward to seeing how you use this week’s sketch.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  1. I cannot believe you had so many wonderful prints with my two color choices! These are so perfect Jolanda and I love how you made them the focal of your design. Thanks so much for playing with Color Hues!
