Amber Autumn – Grateful

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#528) Sketch and Hand Stamped Sentiments (#471) Fall Mood Board.

Additional Influences: Color Hues (#117) Orange and Green along with Stampin’ Through The Catalog Stamp Set Choice for today: Amber Autumn.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Timid Tiger cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pine patterned piece of paper from the retired Close To My Heart May-June Mix-In Paper Packet.
• Split Panel: (3½” x 3¾”) Oak Tree patterned piece of paper from the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper pack colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Timid Tiger, Dark Granny Apple Green and a bit of Light and Dark Crumb Cake here and there and then cut at the 1½” mark.
• Sentiment Strip: (3⅞” x ⅝”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Grateful for you, from the Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
• Decoration – Acorns & Leaves: Very Vanilla and Mossy Meadow cardstock scraps.
  • The Acorn image from the same stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Pecan Pie, Light Timid Tiger and Light Crumb Cake.
  • The Acorns were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Two Oak Leaves were die-cut with the Leaf die from the coordinating Amber Autumn Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Acorns were popped up with Dimensionals.  A few Pecan Pie colored Neutral Matte Dots were added for a bit of charm.
