Timeless Tidings – Filigree Ornaments

Welcome back!  A brand-new week, aka Monday…and we are off to a good start.

I have a cute little clean and simple card for you today as I played with the CAS Colours & Sketches (#549) Layout and the Color Hues (#99) Palette.

Here is the result:

TIMELESS TIDINGS – DOILY BUILDER THINLITS DIES – CC&S549 – TCH99

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Decorative Shapes: (2¼” x 2¼”) Bubble Bath and Pool Party cardstock scraps die-cut with the (1⅞”) Doily die from the retired Doily Builder Thinlits Dies set.
  • Sentiment Strip Accents: (5½” x ¼”) Bubble Bath and Pool Party cardstock scraps.
  • Sentiment Strip: (5½” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the retired Timeless Tidings stamp set was stamped with Versamark and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

It is amazing how you can use paper scraps to create quick and easy cards especially when you have a pretty layout.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.   Cheers,  Jolanda!

  1. Jolanda this card is CAS perfection! So simple, yet so elegant – those filigree elements are gorgeous. A great take on the CC&S sketch – so glad you shared it with us!
