Country Flowers – You’re The best

Hi again!  A quick little clean and simple #simple stamping card…just stamps, ink and paper.

Every week, the Facebook Stampin’ Through the Catalog team chooses two stamp sets from the current Catalogs and/or On-Line Exclusive offerings to play with.  I don’t always have them, but I do have Country Flowers, which is the selection for today.

A few other challenges informed my choices: Just Us Girls (#739) to incorporate a frame and Color Throwdown (#805) for the palette.

Here is the result:

Steps

• Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 3⅞”) Shy Shamrock cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • A Frame was created by stamping the Rose Floral Spray image from the Country Flowers stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink in all four corners.
  • The Flower Market image and Flourish image, from the same stamp set were also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The sentiment, You’re The Best, from the Happiest Day stamp set was then stamped inside the Frame, also with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The design was then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Roses and Flourish– Light Sweet Sorbet (retired); Forsythia – Dark Daffodil Delight; and Leaves – Light Shy Shamrock.

Quick, simple and pretty.  What a nice why to let a friend know she is great!
