Hi! I have a bit more time today, so I am playing with a few more challenges.
Over at Retro Rubber (#232), the site that celebrates all older and most loved stamp sets has a nice Sketch to use.

I married this up with the Color Hues (#88) pairing and the As You See It (#325) Themed Speed Challenge. The idea is to make a card in 10 minutes or less. How do you think I did?

I gathered all my supplies: Stamp Set, Ink Pad, Papers, Tools (Paper Trimmer, Cut & Emboss Machine, Embossing Folder, Die, Punch and Scissors) along with some Embellishments and had them close at hand. Then I set the timer…
Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lemon Lolly cardstock cut, scored and folded and set aside.
- Background Panel: (4″ x 5¼”) Azure Afternoon cardstock cut and dry-embossed with the retired Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder and set aside.
- Stamping: (4¼” x 5½”) Lemon Lolly cardstock.
- The Thank You Tag, Tea Pot with Flowers and the Doily Trim images from the retired Tea Party stamp set (circa 2013) were all stamped with Azure Afternoon ink.
- The Tag was punched out with the retired Large Tag Punch.
- The Tea Pot with Flowers was die-cut with the (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Square Stitched die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The Doily Trim was fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- All elements were then adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Tag and the Doily Trim were popped up with Dimensionals.
- A Bow was tied with the Lemon Lolly colored Baker’s Twine and affixed with a Mini Glue Dot and several retired Pearl Basic Jewels were added for a little old-fashioned bling.
And the Timer was stopped! Elapsed time = 5 minutes and 14 seconds with 4:46 left…

A pretty Thank You card, especially for someone that likes Tea, like me.
Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

It always amazes me how someone else stamps, die cuts and even fussy cuts in just 5 minutes, while a whole 10 minutes can blow by while I just stamp, colour and die cut. I’m not saying I’m slow (really), just that I must live in an alternate universe with a different rate of time!!! Also, in my universe, Murphy’s Law is dominant, especially for speed challenges! This is amazing, Jolanda! I love the retro look of the whole design! I know you have speed stamping down to a fine art! Thanks for taking on our speed challenge at As You See It!

It does take a little bit of pre planning, LOL! Sticking to one stamp set, one or two colors and a good sketch helps a lot.
Thanks, Heather!
