Something For Everyone – Party Time

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#691) challenge.  This week, Claire has provided us with a versatile sketch, ripe for many possibilities.

A number of other challenges informed my choices this week.  Color: The Color Hues (#87) Coral & Teal; Subject: Make My Monday (#226) Dogs; Theme: Double Trouble (#167) Birthday; and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#717) for Any Occasion.

Here is the result:

EPHEMERA: SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE & SAY SOMETHING – PP691 – TCH87 – MMM226 – DT167 – KCC717

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Summer Splash cardstock dry-embossed with the Dashing Designs 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Vertical Strip Mats: (1⅜” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Vertical Strips: (1¼” x 4⅜”) Calypso Coral Dotted patterned pieces of paper from the 2024/2025 Subltes Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Cross Strip Mat: (4¼” x 1⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Cross Strip: (4¼” x 1”) Summer Splash Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Shape – Circle: (2½” x 2½”) Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut with the (2⅜”) Open Dot Circle die from the Everyday Details Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Decoration: Party Puppy from the Something For Everyone Ephemera pack.
    • Another Party Hat was traced with a Fine-Tipped Black Marker, cut with Paper Snips and colored (from a Basic White cardstock scrap) with the Light Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends Marker and adhered over the original Party Hat.
    • The Party Hat Pom-Pom was colored with the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker as was the Puppy’s Tongue.
    • The Puppy Ephemera piece was also closely trimmed with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment: Party Time from the Say Something Ephemera pack was cut apart and closely trimmed.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble sketch.  The Puppy was popped up with Dimensionals.
