Love Blooms – Birthday Wishes

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday…a little red, white and blue for the Memorial Day weekend.

Playing with the AAA Cards (#266) Sketch that included three shapes for clean and simple card.

My choices were influenced by Just Us Girls (#728) to use Stencils; Just Add Ink (#703) to choose two – Bright Colors and a Birthday theme; and choosing the brighter colors from the Paper Craft Crew (#571) suggestions.

Here is the result:

SENDING SMILES – LOVE BLOOMS – AAACC266 – JUGS228 – JIA703 – PCC571

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Using Sponge Daubers and Poppy Parade, Real Red, Old Olive, Azure Afternoon and Blueberry Bushel inks, the three shapes – a Flower and two Butterflies were added.  I chose a stencil that I picked up from the craft section in Walmart some time ago, the Love Blooms – Hello Hobby Stencil.
    • The greeting, Birthday Wishes, from the now retired Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink.

And that was it!  The layers were adhered to the card base for bright and pretty birthday card.
