Ocean Beach View – Grand Birthday

Hi!  Round three as a Surprise Party Guest with the Seize the Birthday Team.

The Party Topping (#284) this time is “Beach”.

I took additional inspiration from: Retro Rubber (#230) for a Nautical element and Shopping Our Stash (#521) for the Water element and selected the colors suggested by CAS Colours & Sketches (#536) to create a very clean and simple styled card.

Here is the result:

OCEANFRONT – SAILING HOME – TRULY TAILORED – STB284 – RRCB230 – SOS521 – CC&S536

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
    • From the retired Oceanfront stamp set (circa 2022), the Sky image was stamped with Pool Party ink, the Water image with 2nd Generation Lost Lagoon ink and the Beach/Ground image with 2nd Generation Pebbled Path ink.
    • From the same stamp set, the Beach Sand and Grasses images were added with Pebbled Path ink.
    • The Smaller Sailboat image from the retired Sailing Home stamp set (circa 2019) was stamped with Pebbled Path ink.
    • The Sails and the Hull of the Sailboat were colored in with both the Light Pool Party and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends Markers.
    • The sentiment, Hoping Your Birthday is as Grand as You, from the retired Truly Tailored stamp set (circa 2018) was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink.

The card was assembled.  Such fun to pull out some really fabulous, retired stamp sets to create a nice masculine birthday card. Simple stamping – just stamps, ink and paper.

Looking forward to seeing what you will create for Seize the Birthday this round.  Remember, Anything Goes if you choose not to add the Topping.
