Graceful Deer – Peace

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#688) challenge.  This week, LeAnne has provided us with an Inspiration Board entitled Animal Antics to get our creative juices flowing.  My stash of animal images is rather limited so, I selected the Graceful Deer stamp set as Curiosity will disturb the Peace.

I combined this week’s selection with the Creative Colors (#139) palette and the Sunday Stamps (#334) sketch.  I am also sharing this card with Critter Crazy (#86) and Krafty Chicks (#714).

Here is the result:

GRACEFUL DEER – UNBOUNDED LOVE – PP688 – CCC139 – SSC334 – CCCB86 – KCC714

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Wild Wheat cardstock dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Panel: (3¾” x 3¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
  • Flagged Banner: (4” x ¾’) Wild Wheat cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a fabric linen ribbon look hand-notched with Paper Snips.
  • Focal Panel: (3¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
    • On a (4¼” x 5½”) piece of cardstock, part of the Graceful Deer stamp was inked with Pebbled Path ink and stamped.
    • The Bird and the Deer were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Melon Mambo and both Light and Dark Wild Wheat.
    • A Sunrise / Sunset glow was added to the Birch Trees and the Snow using a Blender Pen and Melon Mambo ink.
    • The scene was then trimmed to (3¼” x 4”).
  • Sentiment Circle: Pebbled Path cardstock scrap.
    • The word, Peace, from the Unbounded Love stamp set, was stamped with Versamark and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The greeting was then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Greeting Circle was popped up with Dimensionals but placed on the left.

Another card in the Holiday pile.
