Garden Meadow – You are the Best

One more…It is Tuesday and time to create for this week’s Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#458).  The original card can be found on page 71 of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog.   A pretty little card, not too complicated.

Inspiration for my choices: Inspired By (#256) for the theme and Color Dare (#597) for the palette.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
• Rectangle Panel: (3” x 5”) Pretty in Pink Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Collection Collection Designer Series Paper pack and (3” x 3”) Stylized Floral patterned piece of paper from the same paper pack.
  • The Stylized Floral piece was cut on the diagonal at (2¼”)
• Accent Trim: Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock scrap strip.
• Shape – Circle: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Wellies image from the Garden Meadow stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The top edge of the Wellies was masked and the Small Floral image from the same stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
  • The Ground image, again from the same stamp set, was stamped with retired Hello Honey ink (for Sundance).
  • The Flowers were colored using a Blender Pen.  Colors selected: Hello Honey, Melon Mambo (for Rosy) and Lemon-Lime Twist (for Limeade).
  • The Wellies were colored with the Light Bubble Bath (for Ballerina) Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • The image was then die-cut with the (2¾”) Radiating Stitches die from the new Spotlight on Nature Dies set.
• Sentiment Strip: (1⅞” x ⅜”) Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You are the best, from the Timeless Arrangements stamp set was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A Basic White Baker’s Twine Bow was tied around the Rectangle Panel before it was popped up with Dimensionals.  A few Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems were added for a bit of bling.

A sweet and pretty friendship and/or thank you card.
