Country Flowers – So Lucky

Let’s play!!  It is Tuesday and time to create for this week’s Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#457).  The original card can be found on page 10 of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog.   I am not fond of Shaker Cards, so I converted the layout to a Fun Fold Card.

The other challenges: Just Add Ink (#698) Add Two – Flowers and Leaves; Cupcake Inspirations (#592) Flowers; Just Us Girls (#723) Mood Board – Colors and Florals; Creative Creases (#80) Anything Goes Fun Fold; and Paper Craft Crew (#566), also featuring Fun Fold cards.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base (1): (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Boho Blue cardstock.
• Diagonal Strip: (2½” x 6”) Boho Blue Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2025 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The strip was cut in half and was adhered to the card front.  The extra edges were trimmed away to resemble the sketch.
• Fun Fold Top Card Base (2): (6½” x 4½” scored at 3¼”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Diagonal Strip: (2½” x 6”) Peach Pie Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Strip was lined up with the Base Card Strip, adhered and the excess was trimmed away.
• Sentiment Block (2” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, so lucky to know you, from the Country Flowers stamp set was stamped with Boho Blue ink.
  • The Sentiment was die-cut with the (1⅞” x 2⅝”) Rounded Corner Rectangle die from the Nested Essentials Dies set and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Floral Spray image from the Country Flowers stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Petal Pink, Peach Pie, Balmy Blue and Boho Blue.
  • The Floral Spray was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Country Flowers Dies set.
• Fun Fold Top Card Inside: Basic White and Boho Blue cardstock scraps.
  • Another Sentiment Block was die-cut with the larger (2⅜” x 3”) Rounded Corner Rectangle die and also dry-embossed with Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Another Floral Spray was stamped, colored and die-cut.
  • The Sentiment, BEST. FRIEND. EVER., was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The words were separated and closely trimmed with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the inside and outside of the Fun Fold Top Card. The Mini Card was then adhered to the Base Card, matching up the Diagonal Strips.  The two Floral Sprays were popped up with Dimensionals.

A sweet and pretty friendship card for a wonderful gal pal of mine!
